Time is limited for so many of us. We juggle insane schedules, including work, grocery shopping, school, kids’ activities, and so many more things that fill our days. Often, the things we love to do are skipped due to lack of time.

For those of us who love to read, short stories are a great way to get a little “Me” time. As a busy person, grabbing a few minutes here and there might be easier than finding bulk time necessary for a novel. For example, a short story can be consumed waiting in the carpool line. Where there is a will there is a way. 😊

That said, picking the type of story could be the most challenging part of it all. Thankfully, short stories give the option to read a variety of genres at a faster pace. So, squeezing in all the stories desired is totally do able. Start with a favorite and branch out. Perhaps find a short story series to get caught up in and get the feeling of a novel without time being an issue.

The Spicy Spot Romance Anthology -- Patricia A. Wolf Short Stories Include:

  • The Joy of the Unwind - Contemporary - Jalapeno Spiciness

After partnering with The Spicy Spot, I made sure to include short stories that would be of interest to all, including my teenage daughter.  She’s not interested in that hot stuff. She prefers sweet with a happily ever after. Believe it or not, that can be found in short stories.

With suggestions from my daughter, I created The Taste of Delicious series as well as stories that included dogs. She wanted to read my stories, but not the juicy romance parts. So, The Taste of Delicious series and pet loving romances were born--family friendly romance stories. As it turns out, they are some of my favorites.

Ready to explore a variety of short stories? Take a moment to visit The Spicy Spot. Their spicy pepper rating will guide you to the heat level of your choice and the synopsis with give you a glimpse at the characters.

Getting sucked into a wonderful novel is awesome, but having the option to grab multiple stories in a short time is also a plus. Mix up the way you read and enjoy it no matter the page count. 😊
